When we experience foot pain, most of us are likely to blame the 1 of 3 things:
1) Our demanding job 2) An old injury or 3) A condition such as arthritis or Plantar Fasciitis
While these things can definitely cause foot pain, studies show that eating these 5 foods can prolong symptoms and make them much worse.
Here Are The Top 5 Foods To Avoid for Less Foot Pain
1) Refined Sugar
Baked goods, junk cereals, candy, chocolates, cookies, cakes, soda and other sweet treats are filled with refined sugar and cause a spike of inflammation in the body which is likely to aggravate foot pain.
2) Artificial Trans Fats
These are likely to be the unhealthiest fats you can possibly eat. That’s because they’re created by adding hydrogen to liquid fats to make them become more solid (and unnatural.)
Food high in trans-fat includes french fries and other fried fast food, some varieties of microwave popcorn, certain margarine and vegetable shortening, packaged cakes and cookies, some pastries, and all processed food that lists “partially hydrogenated vegetable oil” on the label.
3) Refined Carbs
We need carbohydrates for energy, and the best place to get them is from whole, fibre-rich foods. (Vegetables, whole grains, whole fruits, nuts, seeds, legumes etc.)
However, refined carbs have had most of the fibre removed. Fibre promotes fullness, improves blood sugar control, digestion and feeds the beneficial bacteria in the gut… all which contribute to healthy feet!
Foods likely high in refined carbs are bread, white pasta, cereals, pastries, cookies, cakes, and all processed foods that contain white sugar or flour.
Moderate alcohol consumption has been shown to provide some health benefits, but excessive drinking (especially drinks with high amounts of sugar) can lead to inflammation and other severe problems.
Try to limit your drinking to 2 standard drinks per day for men and one for women.
